Our history
Family-business roots.
A new generation of delivery.
AMCO's story began in 1989, when Alex Chatterton's father established the engineering business and built its reputation in food-processing machinery and installation.
When he retired, George Bruce and Alex Chatterton acquired the business and took responsibility for its next chapter—retaining the practical engineering experience while strengthening how projects, safety and information are controlled.

How we work
Four principles.
One standard.
Practical
Engineering judgment grounded in the real conditions, constraints and priorities of the work.
Controlled
Structured information, traceable decisions and project records that remain connected to delivery.
Accountable
A straightforward commitment to scope, communication and seeing the work through properly.
Our approach
The detail supports the bigger picture.
Good delivery depends on more than the task in front of you. Scope, estimates, planning, safety information, resources, documents and decisions all need to move together.
AMCO brings those parts into a controlled way of working so the team can stay focused on the outcome.
